A warm welcome for your friends and family
We like to be actively involved in the life of our residents and are always delighted to see friends and family. We pride ourselves on making people feel at home, whether they are an old friend, an energetic great-grandchild, or even the minister and congregation of your church.
We’re privileged to receive regular visits from professional musicians and speakers, a florist, an armchair physiotherapist, poets, dancers, a pet therapist, a carpenter, and many more – and we enjoy entertainment that local school children provide for us too.
We have excellent links with some of our local schools and colleges: we even share our vegetable garden with a primary school so as soon as the first shoots show in spring, the children come over to garden alongside our residents.
We also offer apprenticeships to those attending local secondary schools, before they choose their GCSE options, to help them to decide whether social care is the career path for them.
Older children who attend Braintree Community College bring us their enthusiasm and positivity when they spend time with us, and they tell us they learn a great deal from our residents as well as our team.
