Members of the team St Mary’s Court residential care home in Braintree, as well as it’s sister home, The New Deanery have been named as finalists at both The National Care Awards 2015 and The Great British Care Awards’ East of England Region, which recognise the very best people in the long-term care sector.

Julia Clinton, the CEO of parent company Sonnet Care Homes, has been selected as a finalist for the Care Leadership award at The National Care Awards 2015, nominated by senior figures within the care sector for the improvements that have been made at The New Deanery in the past year.

Whilst Jane Sadowski, Registered Home Manager at The New Deanery, is a finalist for The Care Home Registered Manager Award; Mandi Randall-Cramp, Trainer at The New Deanery and St Mary’s Court, is a finalist for The Care Trainer Award, and The New Deanery care home itself is into the final for The Care Home Nutrition and Hydration Award at The Great British Care Awards East of England Region.

Julia Clinton said:

“All categories at The National Care Awards and The Great British Care Awards are hotly contested and I am delighted that we have been short-listed for the finals of these prestigious awards.

“It remains to be seen who will win on the night, but our progress so far is down to the hard work and dedication of whole team at The New Deanery and St Mary’s Court care homes.”

Winners of The National Care Awards will be announced on 27 November at a glamorous awards ceremony, at the Hilton London Metropole hotel, which will be presented by Hugh Dennis of Mock the Week fame. Whilst The Great British Care Awards winners will be announced on 26 November at a ceremony held at Norwich City Football Club.
